An Art Exhibition

 An Exhibition!

One of my cyanotypes. This one is a doll’s apron and cotton lace.

Did you know that I’ve been painting and making art since I was a kid? Sometimes, I would get lonely or discouraged while I was in my studio and I’d do other things like becoming a singer or a knitter, but then I’d see something and feel I had to paint it. I often see a way of making art that I just have to try. When I needed artwork for my CD packages, I would create a set of drawings or watercolors. Sounds like a good reason to take part in an exhibition.

My own mysterious Englishman, Graham Frear, and I will be showing our work in a group exhibition hosted by our friend the ceramicist Jan Huntley-Peace at her home this weekend August 15th - 17th in Milnthorpe, Cumbria. Come along. If you haven’t seen Jan transform her truly magical English cottage into a gallery before, then you must come! Plus, there’s always tea and cake. Gluten free, too.

Graham and I will be there each day for a few hours.

Friday, 15 March, 12-2

Saturday, 16 March, 1-3

Sunday, 17 March 2-5

After the exhibition, I will add artwork to my shop. So, if you live on the other side of the planet and would like some Jeni artwork, never fear.

Two oil paintings by the Englishman which you can see at the gallery.
